Mulligatawny Soup Recipe
Mulligatawny soup is a curry-flavored soup of Anglo-Indian origin. Mulligatawny Soup is a substantial and delicious meal in itself. Here is an easy recipe for helping you to prepare Mulligatawny Soup.
Ingredients for Mulligatawny Soup
• 1/2 cup Coconut milk
• 1 tsp Coriander seeds
• 1/2 stick Cinnamon
• 3 – 4 no. Garlic cloves
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
• 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
• 6 – 8 no. Curry leaves
• 1 tsp Black peppercorn
• 2 tsp Lemon juice
• 1 tsp Ginger
• 1 tbsp Gram flour
• 1 tbsp Oil
• Salt As per taste.
Method to prepare Mulligatawny Soup
1. Make a paste of cinnamon, coriander seeds, cumin, fennel, fenugreek seeds, garlic, ginger and peppercorns with the help of mixer.
2. Heat oil in a karai/wok, add gram flour in it, and cook for 3-4 minutes
3. Add ground masala in it, cook for another 2 minutes.
4. Now add 3 ½ cups of water and curry leaves. Cook till you get a thick consistency.
5. Add lime juice, coconut milk and salt strain the mulligatawny soup through muslin cloth.
6. Serve hot.
