Chicken Shorba Recipe

Chicken Shorba/soup is very rich inn content and one of the favourites of all chicken lovers. In fact, Chicken Shorba is one of the most popular soup dishes in north Indian Cuisine. Here is an easy Chicken Shorba Recipe which takes you through the process of making chicken shorba soup.

Ingredients for Chicken shorba soup

•    100gms Boneless Chicken Shredded
•    500 ml Chicken Stock
•    1 tbsp Garlic Finely Chopped
•    1 tbsp White Flour
•    1 tsp Cumin Seeds
•    1 tbsp Fresh Cream
•    1 tbsp Oil
•    2 tsp Butter
•    Salt & White Pepper to taste

For making chicken stock

For 500 ml of chicken stock, cook about 500 grams of chicken bones with one liter of water, add chopped onions and garlic in it .Cook till the stock is reduced to half the quantity.

Method to prepare Chicken Shorba

1.    Take a pan, heat the butter in it, and fry the chicken pieces till tender. Remove the fried chicken pieces from the pan. Keep them aside.
2.     Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and wait till they splutter.
3.    Add the chopped garlic and sauté for 10-15 seconds.
4.     Now add the white flour and fry for about 1 min.
5.    Add the chicken stock, chicken, white pepper powder and salt. Keep stirring all the time.
6.    Cook all the material on medium flame for around 5 min. Stir in the fresh cream just before serving.
