Chicken Chowder Soup Recipe
For all those who are fond of chicken and wish to try something new, we provide you with steps to prepare chicken chowder. This is made up of chicken and rice and brings in the taste of rich cream. Follow the steps carefully and have a mouth licking experience.
Ingredients :
- Chicken – 1 large, remove giblets,
- Water – 6 cups
- Onion- 1
- Celery Stalk – 1
- Bay leaves – 4
- Peppercorns – 10
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Butter – 4 tbsp
- Flour – ¼ cup
- Long grain rice – ½ cup
- Cream – 1 cup
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Pepper to taste
- Mustard to taste
- Parsely – for garnishing, chopped
How To Prepare Chicken Chowder Soup:
1. Take a kadhai/ wok and add water to it. Add chicken, onion, celery, bay leaves, peppercorns and salt. Boil them and skim the fat.
2. Cook on slow flame till the chicken becomes tender. Drain and keep it aside.
3. Now take the chicken and remove its bones and cut them into servable sizes.
4. Take a pan and heat butter into it. Now add ½ cup onions and fry till they become soft. Now add flour to it and stir-fry for a minute.
5. Now add chicken stock and bring it to boil. Now add rice and cook till rice gets cooked completely.
6. Now add cream to it and lemon jucie and the chopped chicken meat. Make sure not to boil the chowder after adding cream and lemon jucie. Now add salt, pepper and mustard.
7. Chicken Chowder Soup is ready to be served. Garnish with parsely before serving.
