Pao Bhaji Recipe
Pao Bhaji is one of the most popular dish specially in Mumbai and Pune. In Marathi bread is referred as pav. Bhaji is made up of number of vegetables all rich in proteins and carbohydrates. Now its time to taste the nutritious pav bhaji. So what are you waiting for? Just work on the following steps carefully and grab your bite.
Ingredients For Making Pav Bhaji:
• Pav buns – 12
• Peas – 1 cup
• Onions – 2
• Capsicum – 1/2 cup
• Cabbage – 1/2 cup
• Carrot – 4 tsp
• Dhania Powder – 3 tsp
• Lemon Juice – 1/2 cup
• Beans – 1/2 cup
• Tomatoes – 5
• Cauliflower – 1 cup
• Jeera Powder – 2 tsp
• Green chillies finely chopped
• Ginger – 1′ piece
• Potatoes – 3
• Chilli powder – 2 tsp
• Pav Bhajji masala – 4 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Coriander for garnish
• Garlic optional
How To Prepare Pav Bhaji:
For Bhaji:
1. To prepare Pav Bhaji take a pan and heat oil int. Add onions and fry till they become translucent.
2. To it add salt, tomatoes and all the other powders. Cook them on moderate flame till oil separates.
3. Meanwhile take oil the other vegetables and put them in a pressure cooker. Steam the vegetables and then add them to the onion mix.
4. To it add a cup of water and cook on moderate flame till it starts boiling. Keep mashing the vegetables with a potato masher.
5. Cook on moderate flame till all the vegetables are cooked. Add lemon juice and mix thoroughly. Garnish with coriander leaves.
For the pavs:
6. Take the pavs and slith them from the middle. Take a pan and heat it. Apply some butter on the pavs and heat them till they become golden brown from inside.
7. Pav Bhaji is ready to be served.
