Khasta Dal Kachori Recipe

Khasta Dal Kachori is a delicious snacks preferred in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Kachoris are filled with lentils and spices. It’s a common snack specially in weddings. Now you can make khasta kachoris easily. Just follow the steps carefully and grab the delicious bite.
Ingredients :
•    Skinless dried black beans (urad) – 3/4th cup
•    Oil for deep frying
•    Red chili powder – 1/2tsp
•    Flour (atta) – 4 cups
•    White cumin seeds – 1tsp
•    Chili chopped – 1 green
•    Asafoetida powder – 1/4th tsp
•    Salt – 1/2tsp
•    Anise seeds (Saunf) – 1tbsp
•    Coriander seeds – 1tsp

How To Prepare Khasta Dal Kachori:

1.    To prepare khasta dal ki kachori take beans and soak them overnight in water and then rinse and drain them.

2.    Take the flour and sift it. Add water gradually to make dough soft. Take a damp cloth and cover the dough for 30 minutes with it.

3.    Take a grinder and grind beans, salt, spices and chili powder to prepare a stuffing. After grinding it divide the stuffing into 16 equal portions.

4.    Now take the dough and divide it into 16 portions. Do use wet hands and smear each portion with a little oil.

5.    Take each piece and flatten it. Roll them into 2 inch round. Now put 1 portion of stuffing in each of the piece and roll into smooth ball. Do not forget to use greased hands for it. Repeat it for all the remaining portions.

6.    Now take a kadhai/wok and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot deep fry the kachoris in it. Do not forget to flick hot oil on top of the kachori with the spatula. This will help the kachori to swell like a ball.

7.    Fry kachoris till they become golden brown.

8.    Khasta Dal Kachori is ready to be served. Serve hot. Goes well with chutney.
