Capsicum Masala Recipe
Capsicum masala is a popular Indian side dish. Capsicum masala is prepared to eat with butter naan, parathas and tandoori roti. You can also taste capsicum masala with bread as a topping, which is also great. Here is an easy recipe for Capsicum masala.
Ingredients for making capsicum masala:
• 3 capsicums
• 2 tsp coconut powder(dry)
• 6-8 tsp cooking oil
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp til powder
• 2 tsp thick tamarind juice
• 1 tsp mirchi powder
• 3 tsp dhania powder
• ½ tspoon jeera
• Pinch of haldi, hing
How to prepare capsicum masala (Shimla Mirch):
1. Take the capsicum and cut it into medium-size pieces.
2. Now take a kadhai/pan and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot add hing and jeera to it. Fry for few seconds and add capsicum to it. Cook it uncovered for 10-15 minutes.
3. While capsicum gets cooked prepare the mixture. In order to make the mixture, take mirchi powder, tamarind juice, haldi powder, dry coconut, salt, til powder and mix all the ingredients.
4. Now add this mixture to the kadhai and mix well. Cook it for another 3-4 minutes.
5. Masala Capsicum is ready to be served.
