Brinjal Sabzi Recipe

Brinjal Sabzi Recipe is a popular dish among the people of North India. Brinjal or Baigan sabzi can form part of any course. It tastes great with both plain roti, puri or parathas. here is an easy recipe to help you prepare the tasty Brinjal subji.

Ingredients For Making Brinjal Sabji:

•    1 big brinjal
•    tamarind lump (marble size)
•    4-5 green chillies
•    salt to taste
•    1 tbsp coconut gratings
•    2 tsp oil
•    asafoetida water

How To Prepare Brinjal Sabji:

1.    In order to prepare brinjal sabji it is preferable to roast brinjal over glowing embers, or chop brinjals into big pieces.

2.    Boil them in just enough water.

3.    Peel the boiled or roasted brinjal and keep it aside.

4.    Take a broad wooden bowl and crush tamarind, green chillies and salt together.

5.    Add coconut gratings. Coconut gratings are optional. You can avoid it in case you don’t like coconut.

6.    Add water as desired. Mash brinjal or its pieces and blend them well.

7.    Put few drops of asafetida water and raw oil in it and mix it well.

8.    Brinjal/Baingan Subji is ready to be served.
