Chicken Nasi Biryani Recipe
Biryani is liked by all non-veg lovers. For all those who want to eat biryani but are feeling too lazy to move out, we provide you with easy steps to prepare biryani at home. Follow the steps carefully and add spice to tonight’s dinner.
Ingredients :
For Chicken
• 3 1/2 lb./ 1 1/2kg Chicken
• 1/2 cup Sour cream
• 1/8 tsp Ground turmeric
• 5 cloves Garlic
• 3 Cloves
• 1 cup Crispy fried onions
• 2 tbsp Garam masala
• 5 Small green chilies
• 1 3″ cinnamon sticks
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp Brown mustard seeds
• 3 Star anise
• 2 tbsp Cumin seeds
• 2 tsp Paprika
For the Rice cooking
• 4 cups Rice, washed
• 100g Butter or Ghee
• 3 Clove
• 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
• 3 Pandan leaves
• 3 Cinnamon sticks
• Salt to taste
• 6 Bay leaves
• 8 Cardamom pods
• 10 cups Water
• 1 tsp Brown mustard seeds
• 1 tsp Whole saffron
• 1 cup Milk
• 1/2 cup Dark raisins
• 1 cup Frozen green peas
• Some mint leaves
How To Prepare Chicken Nasi Biryani:
1. In order to prepare the chicken first marinate the chicken for two hours in a mixture of salt, sour cream and ground turmeric.
2. Take the crispy onions and mix them with garam masala and keep aside.
3. Take a skillet and roast cloves, cinnamon stick, cummin seeds, brown mustard and star anise in it. Take a mixer and grind them in it. Keep it aside.
4. Also grind garlic and green chillies and keep htem aside. Now mix the onions, marinated chicken, paprika, garlic and green chillies and ground spices. Keep it aside.
5. Now prepare rice. To prepare rice first take warm milk and soak saffron in it. Keep it aside.
6. Now take a skillet and heat oil in it. Also add butter , 3 bay leaves and 1 cinnamon stick and fry them till aroma comes out. Keep it aside.
7. Take a large pan and put water in it and bring it to boil. Now stir brown mustard seeds, cloves, 3 bay leaves and 2 cinnamon sticks in it.
8. Now add pan and leaves and rice. Cook it uncovered. Cook till it is 2/3 done. Drain the rice and discard the pan and leaves. Now add salt to taste.
9. Now take a pan and keep all the marinated chicken in it. Now add a layer of rice on the chicken and sprinkle some coloured milk, green peas, mint leaves, dark raisens and fragran butter. Repeat the layers and bake the pan in oven for 30-40 minutes at 325 degree F, till the chicken is done.
10. Chicken Nasi Biryani is ready to be served. Serve hot.
