Onion Raita

Onion raita is one of the favorites for many people. Onion raita tastes really well with Biryanis and kababs. Onion/pyaj raita is a common Indian condiment served with various types of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. We are providing an easy recipe for onion raita to help you prepare the dish.

 

Ingredients for preparing Onion raita

  • 2 cup curd(yogurt)
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped green chilly
  • 1 finely chopped ginger
  • 1/4 mustard seeds (small)
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp oil
  • salt to taste

 

How to prepare onion raita

1.         Stir the curd properly with the help of hand mixer (mathni).

2.         Add onion, green chilly, salt and coriander leaves.

3.         Heat 1tsp oil, add mustard seeds in it. Add this oil to the raita.

4.         Mix well.

5.         Keep in refrigerator for an hour. 

6.         Serve the chilled onion raita with imli rice
