Ever tried Khus Khus ki Puri?

Just work on the following steps and you can prepare Khus Khus ki puri within minutes. Try it out and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients :

For the dough :

·         ½ tsp kalonji

·         2 teacups maida

·         4 tbsp hot melted ghee

·         ¾ tsp salt

For the stuffing :

·         4 tbsp khus-khus

·         Ghee for deep frying

·         2 tsp ghee

·         ¼ tsp asafoetida

·         ½ tsp ground ginger

·         2 tsp jeera

·         4 cardamoms

·         4 cloves

·         4 big red Kashmiri chillies

·         2 stocks cinnamon

·         ½ tsp kalonji

·         salt to taste

How To Prepare Khus Khus Ki Puri:

1.    Take the maida and sieve it properly. Add salt, ghee and kalonji and make a stiff dough with the help of water.

 

2.    Now knead the dough properly.

 

3.    In order to prepare the stuffing, soak khus khus in little water. After a while, prepare a thick paste using a grinder. Keep aside.

 

4.    Now take a tawa and roast asafoetida, chillies, cloves, jeera for 2 minutes. Now take a grinder and powder the roasted spices. Keep aside.

 

5.    Heat some ghee in vessel and for ½ minutes sauté kalonji and ginger in it. Add khus khus to it and cook for  a minute. Remove the vessel from fire. Now add the powdered spices and salt. Stir it properly.

 

6.    Now take the dough and divide it in 20 balls. Take one ball and roll it. Put ½ tsp of stuffing in the centre. Bring the edges in the centre and seal it. Roll it once again.

 

7.    Heat ghee in a kadhai/wok and deep fry the puris. Khus Khus Puris are ready to be served. Serve hot with potato vegetable.
