Paneer Pasanda Recipe

Paneer Pasanda is a type of paneer recipe that is popular in north India. As the name suggests “Pasanda” means every one’s favorite. Though Paneer Pasanda calls for extra effort, it is my favorite because all my family members love it. Rich in protein and low fat makes you want to make this dish over and over again. Try this recipe of paneer pasanda! 

Ingredients for making Paneer Pasanda:

  • 500 gms cottage cheese ( paneer )
  • 6 onions ( pyaj )
  • 400 gms tomatoes
  • 1” long piece ginger ( adrak )
  • 2 green chilies (hari mirch)
  • 1 cup cream ( malai )
  • 1 cup curd ( dahi )
  • 100 gm butter
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric ( haldi )
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp dried  pudina leaves
  • ½ cup milk 

How to make Paneer Pasanda:

  1. First of all cut cottage cheese in small pieces.
  2. Then chop onion very finely.
  3. Then grind tomato, green chili, ginger
  4. Now heat butter in a pan.
  5. Then sauté onions till pink in color.
  6. Then add tomato paste.
  7. Now continue cooking on medium flame till ghee/oil begins to separate.
  8. Then put off the flame.
  9. Now add cottage cheese, curd, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, dried pudina leaves, turmeric and mix well.
  10. Then keep it aside for an hour.
  11. Then put the pan on flame and then add milk to the mixture.
  12. Now simmer for 5 minutes and then finally put off the gas.
  13. At the end take off the fire and serve hot.
