Paneer masala is a rich and spicy dish and popular especially in North India. Whether it’s marinated, grilled, minced or in the form of gravy, Indians love Paneer quite a lot.  Try out our Paneer Masala recipe yourself at home following this easy recipe.

Ingredients for making paneer masala:
• ½ onion
• 1 tomato
• Ginger small pieces
• 10 garlic cloves
• 10 Mint leaves
• 10 green chillies
• Cilantro
• 1 piece cardamom
• 2 pieces of cloves
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 litre whole milk

How To Prepare Paneer Masala:
To Prepare Paneer:
1. Take the milk and boil it.
2. Now add fermented yogurt and two spoons of lemon juice in it so that the milk and water separates.
3. Remove the water and wrap the paneer in a muslin cloth and put a heavy weight on the top. Keep it aside fro few hours.
4. When the paneer is set after few hours, take a pressure cooker and steam paneer in it for 5 minutes.
5. Remove the paneer and cut it into cubes. Now heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry paneer  cubes in it. Keep it aside.
To Prepare Paneer Masala :
1. Take a pan and heat butter in it till it melts. Now add cardamom and clove and fry them for few seconds.
2. Now add garlic, ginger, onions and chillies to it. Fry till onion becomes golden brown.
3. Now add tomatoes to it and fry nicely fro 15minutes making sure that nothing sticks to the bottom.
4. Remove the pan from the gas after frying. Just before removing add mint leaves to the pan and keep it aside to cool.
5. After the masala cools grind it in a mixer with water. Now heat a pan and add grounded masala to it.
6. Now add paneer cubes and salt to taste. Cook it on slow flame for 15-20 minutes.
7. Paneer Masala is ready  to be served. Garnish with cilantros. Goes best with hot parathas.
