Paneer Amritsari

Paneer Amritsari is yet another popular Punjabi dish. Paneer Amritsari is usually cooked on special occasions. For al those who love paneer, it is truly an awesome dish. Here is an easy recipe for Paneer Amritsari. Follow these steps and cook your favourite dish.

 Ingredients for making Paneer Amritsari:
• 500 gms paneer
• ½ tbsp coriander, finely chopped
• 1 tsp ginger, grated
• 2 onions, sliced into thin rings
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp garlic, finely crushed
• 1 tsp ajwain seeds
• ½ tsp punjabi garam masala
• 1 tsp red chilli powder
• ¾ cup gram flour
• 2 tbsp oil
• ½ tsp turmeric powder
• ½ tsp tandoori masala
• ½ tsp sugar
• 1 anardhana powder

How To Prepare Paneer Amritsari :

1. Take paneer and cut it into cubes. Keep aside.
2. To prepare paneer amritsari, take tandoori masala, garam masala, ginger, garlic, flour, salt, ajwain, turmeric and salt and mix them together to make a thick paste.
3. Add ½ tbsp of oil and mix it thoroughly. 2 to 3 tbsp of water could be sprinkled if the need be.
4. Take 2 tbsp mixture and marinate onion in it. Marinate paneer in the remaining mixture for 10 minutes.
5. Now heat oil in a kadhai and fry paneer pieces in it till they become crisp and brown.
6. Take the remaining oil and add onions to it and cook till they become light brown. Add the marinated paste to it and cook well.
7. When it becomes dry add fried paneer, anardana powder, salt, sugar and chilli to it. Toss it well.
8. Paneer Amritsari is ready to be served. Garnish with coriander leaves.
