Gujarati Lemon Pickle is a very popular Gujarati pickle recipe. This is a quick and easy sweet lemon pickle that is ready within minutes as compared to the traditional recipe which takes 20 days to prepare. Learn how to make/prepare Gujarati Lemon Pickle by following this easy recipe. 

Ingredients for making Gujrati lemon pickle recipe:

  • 1 kg Lemons (Nimbu)
  • ½  kg Sugar (Cheeni)
  • 1 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 4 teaspoons Red chili pepper (Lal Mirchi)
  • 2 teaspoons Turmeric (Haldi)
  • ¾  cup Salt (Namak) 

How to make Gujrati lemon pickle:

  1. First of all cut each lemon halfway through.
  2. Then stuff with salt and turmeric powder and put in an airtight jar for one month.
  3. Then the lemons will leave some water.
  4. Now drain it and cut each lemon into four pieces.
  5. Now mix asafoetida powder in the water, red chili pepper and sugar and pour over the
  6. Now put lemons in the jar.
  7. Then cork tightly.
  8. This pickle can keep for two years.
