Amla Pickle or Amle ka achar not only adds taste but also contains lots of nutrition value. Pickles are important item in practically every Indian meal. Traditional pickle recipes using unique spice mixes and vegetable oils are made with a wide variety of Vegetables. Amla (Indian Gooseberry) is extremely beneficial for health. It’s rich in iron and vitamin c. Try this easy recipe of Amla pickle!
Ingredients for making Amla pickle:
- ½ kg Amla
- 125 gms Green Chilies (slit )
- 125 gms Oil
- 50 gms Salt
- ½ tsp Jeera
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 tblsp roasted & powdered Sesame seeds
- 1 small Lemon
How to make Amla pickle/achar:
- First of all wash and dry amla and keep aside.
- Now heat oil in a pan and fry green chilies for 2 minutes.
- Then remove the chilies from the pan Add jeera and mustard seeds.
- Then add Aamla and fry for few minutes.
- Now sprinkle some water and cover the pan with a lid and let it stay for 6 minutes.
- Finally turn the flame to medium and stir regularly.
