Roomali Roti
Roomali Roti, as the name indicates, gives handkerchief like appearance. Roomali Roti is thin and large in size than the normal chapattis and goes well with both vegetarian and non vegetarian curry. Learn how to make Roomali Roti by following this easy recipe.
Ingredients for making Roomali Roti
• 50 gms Maida
• 11/2cup Whole Wheat Flour (Atta)
• 1/2 tsp Baking powder
• Water to knead
• 2 tbsp oil
How to prepare Roomali Roti
1. First of all take wheat flour, maida in a bowl, mix them, now add salt and baking powder in the flour and sieve them together with the help of a cloth.
2. Pour oil in the flour and gradually add water to make smooth & elastic dough using dry flour. Cover it with moist muslin cloth and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
3. Divide the dough into small round balls and make thin chapati (thin like a tissue paper)of about 12″ diameter circle.
4. Heat the griddle from back side (keep the griddle inverted on flame).
5. Place the rumali roti carefully over the griddle and cook till done. Fold it like a handkerchief.
6. Serve rumali roti hot with indian curry.
