Lachcha Paratha is also known as multi-layered Indian bread. As the name suggests, lachha parantha contains many layers. Lachha Paratha is usually made during special occasions. Learn how to make laccha parantha by following this easy recipe.
 

Ingredients for preparing Lachha paratha
• Whole Wheat Flour (Atta) as per consumption
• Water for kneading
• Salt as per taste
• 1 tbsp Oil
• Butter/Ghee (Pure ghee) for frying
 

How to prepare Lachha parantha

1. Put the wheat flour in a bowl,add 1tbsp oil & salt and Knead, making soft dough.
2. Cover the dough with a moist musclin cloth and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
3.  Divide the dough, by making round balls from it.
4. Now roll the balls into a circle of appox. 5 to 6 ” diameter using dry flour.
5. Now spread the oil properly over entire surface.
6. With the help of a knife make a 2″ cut lengthways and fold it inwards.
7. Spread Oil on every fold. Now press it lightly towards the center to show the layers clearly and roll like a paratha.
8. Pre-heat a griddle. Put laccha paratha on it and Cook, Turn the lachha paratha and pour half tablespoon oil and shallow fry over low heat.
9. Turn it and again pour oil or butter on the other side. Cook the lachha parata on a low flame till golden brown.
