Yogurt Fish Recipe

Yogurt Fish, as the name suggests, is made yogurt and other materials. Yogurt fish is certainly one of the favorites among the fish lovers all over. While preparing fish yogurt, one has to keep in mind that everything is added in a fixed proportion. Try out the following recipe to prepare delicious Yogurt Fish.

Ingredients for yogurt fish:

•    500 gms fish
•    2 ginger grounded to paste
•    2 cups curd blended smooth
•    1 cardomom
•    4 tbsp mustard oil
•    a little flour
•    1 bay leaf
•    1 cinnamon
•    Salt To Taste
•    1 onion grounded to paste
•    2 tsp red chilly powder
•    1 tsp turmeric powder
•    1 tsp cummin powder
•    1 tsp sugar

How to prepare Yogurt Fish / Masala Fish Curry

1.    Clean the fish and cut into cubes, or as traditional cross-section. Roll the fish pieces one by one in flour.

2.    Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan/kadhai/wok and fry the fish till it becomes pale golden. Drain it and keep it aside

3.     Add remaining oil and fry bay leaves, cinnamon and cardamom in it. Also add onion, chili powder, ginger, turmeric and cumin seeds. If you find it to be too dry, you may also add a little water to it.

4.    Cook for a while and then add blended curd to it. Cook on slow flame till oil shows on top.

5.    Add fish and also add sugar, salt and little water.

6.    Cook on slow flame till gravy becomes thick.

7.    Yogurt fish is ready to be served. Serve it hot with plain rice.
