Patrani Machi

Patrani Machi is a wonderful variety for all those who love fish. Fish is topped with coconut-cilantro chutney and wrapped in banana leaves. That is a wonderful flavor addition to the fish fry…Try this easy to make Patrani Machi recipe and enjoy!! 

Ingredients for making Patrani Machi:

  • 2 Fish (washed and cleaned)
  • 10 Green Chilies
  • 1 bunch Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Coconut, grated
  • 10 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 bunch Coriander Leaves
  • 2 Lemon
  • Banana Leaves
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar 

How to make Patrani Machi:

  1. First of all, combine together onion, garlic, chilies, grated coconut, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, mint, salt and sugar in a grinder and grind to a fine paste.
  2. Now, slice the fishes into halves.
  3. Next, apply the above made paste on the fish piece.
  4. Now, sprinkle lemon juice over it.
  5. Thereafter, take banana leaves, heat it on both the sides and wrap fish piece in it properly.
  6. Now, tie it with a thread.
  7. Thereafter, place fish on the greased baking tin and spread little ghee over each piece.
  8. Bake it for about 15 minutes.
  9. Serve and enjoy!!
