Egg Biryani
Egg Biryani is one of the popular egg recipes. It is loved by almost all egg eaters. Egg biryani can be eaten with the main course or a stand alone dish. Here is an easy Hyderabadi Egg Biryani recipe to help you prepare the delicious Egg Biryani.
Ingredients for cooking Egg Biryani
• 8 large eggs (hard boiled)
• 1/2 cup ghee / oil
• 1 finely chopped onion (large size)
• 2 flakes garlic (crushed)
• 4 green cardamom pods (chhoti elaichi)
• 1 brown Cardamom (badi elaichi)
• 2 bay leaves
• 1-inch cinnamon stick
• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp chili powder
• 1 tsp garam masala powder
• 2 cups Basmati (long grain) Rice
• 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves to garnish
• 3-4 tomatoes (thickly sliced) to garnish
• 2 1/2 cups warm water
• Salt to Taste
How to prepare egg biryani
• Soak the rice in water for 15-20 minutes.
• Take oil/ghee in a deep pan and heat it.
• Add onion and garlic along with bay leaves, cardamoms and cinnamon, fry it until it turn golden in color.
• Prick the eggs with a fork and add to the pan, add turmeric powder, red chili powder and again fry for 4-5 minutes.
• Now, add pre-soaked rice and stir for next 2 minutes. Add water and salt to taste in it.
• Cook over a medium flame until the water gets absorbed.
• Sprinkle garam masala powder over it.
• Your Hyderabadi Egg biryani is ready
• Garnish the egg biryani with chopped coriander leaves and tomato slices, Serve hot.
