Tomato Garlic Chutney is a sure winner among various types of Indian condiments. Tomato garlic chutney goes well with so many Indian dishes and snacks. Garlic is used in this chutney because of its pungent taste. Thus, tomato garlic chutney is also a healthy food for us. Try this easy to make tomato garlic chutney and enjoy your food!
Ingredients for making tomato garlic chutney:
- 6 to 8 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
- ¼ spring onion whites chopped
- 1 tbsp finely chopped spring onion greens
- 2 dry red chilies soaked
- 1 cup tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander
- 1 tsp oil
- Salt to taste
How to make tomato garlic chutney:
- First of all drain the soaked chilies and chop them finely.
- On the other side heat the oil, add the onions and garlic and sauté over a slow flame for 4 to 5 minutes till they are lightly brown.
- Then add the chilies and salt and sauté again.
- Now add the tomatoes and cook for 10 to 12 minutes over a slow flame till the tomatoes are soft and mashed lightly.
- At the end cool completely and add the coriander and spring onion greens and mix well. Serve tomato and garlic chutney chilled or at room temperature.
