Mint and Tamarind Chutney

Tamarind and mint combine together to make awesome chutney. Tamarind or Imli is an evergreen tree, cultivated in tropical regions for its fruit. The fruit is a plump pod containing seeds and a bitter-sweet pulp, which is used in chutneys, curries, and medicines. Here is an easy recipe to help you learn to prepare mint and tamarind chutney.
 

Ingredients for making mint/pudina and tamarind chutney:

  • Handful of mint leaves (pudina leaves)
  • 2 green chilies (hari mirch)
  • ¼ cup tamarind (imli)
  • Salt to taste
     

How to make mint and tamarind/Imli chutney:

  1. First of all grind the green chilies and mint leaves into a fine paste.
  2. On the other side soak tamarind for 15 minutes in ½ cup of hot water and then pass through a sieve.
  3. Now mix the tamarind pulp and salt with the ground paste.
