Murgh Do Pyaza
Murgh (Chicken) do payaza is a famous Indian chicken dish in which chicken is sauteed in fresh onions, tomatoes and a creamy curry sauce. Murgh do pyaja has an altogether different taste than other chicken dishes. Learn here how to prepare murgh do pyaja following this easy murg do pyaza recipe.
Ingredients:
- Chicken (whole) 1.5 Kg
- Tomato puree 3 cups
- Finely sliced onions 4 (medium)
- Finely chopped ginger
- Finely chopped garlic 1 tbsp
- Finely chopped green chilli 1 tbsp
- Garam Masala Powder 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp.
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
- Vegetable oil 7 tbsp
- Fine chopped green coriander leaves for garnishing
How to prepare Murgh (Chicken) do payaza:
1. Clean the chicken thouroughly and cut it into medium pieces.
2. Take a pan, put oil into it and heat on medium flame. Then add garlic, ginger and green chilli and fry the whole content over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
3. Now, add tomato puree, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander (dhaniya) powder, red chilli powder and salt. Boil it and then cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes.
4. Take sliced onions and add it and cook till it gets tender.
5. Pu the chicken pieces in the pan and start stirring slowly so that all the chicken pieces are coated well with gravy.
6. Pu water and bring the whole stuff to boil on high heat and then to medium heat.
7. Finally, cover the pan and cook till the chicken gets tender and the gravy becomes thick. Your murgh do pyaza is ready to be served. Garnish it well with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
