Poha is a popular dish and part of Indian breakfast. Normally Poha is made from potatoes and peas. It is a form of raw rice and easily digestible. Poha is known by a variety of names: Poha or Pauwa in Hindi. Try this easy to make recipe of poha roll!
Ingredients for making Poha Roll:
- 1 egg
- 30 gms poha (rice flakes)
- 100 gms potato
- 2 green chilies
- 20 gms roasted peanuts
- ¼ tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
- ¼ tsp garam masala powder
- ¼ tsp red chili powder
- 2 tblsp breadcrumbs
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Few coriander sprigs
How to make Poha Roll:
- First of all boil, peel and mash the potatoes.
- Then wash the poha in a strainer. Coarsely grind the roasted peanut.
- Then wash & chop the green chilies and coriander sprigs.
- Now add poha, peanuts, chilies, coriander leaves and spices to the mashed potatoes.
- Then mix well and roll into desirable shapes.
- Then dip in beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Now deep fry in oil till rolls golden brown.
- Finally serve hot with tamarrind chutney.
