Moong dal vada or Moongode is a Rajasthani dish. It is eaten as an appetizer or a side dish. Apart from grown-ups, kids like it too. These small moong dal vadas are easy to prepare and taste really good. Moong Dal Vada can be served as a tea-time snack or taken as a part of your meal. Try this easy to make recipe of moong dal vada! 

Ingredients for making Moong Dal Vada:

  • 300 gms Moong Dal
  • 25 gms Chopped Coriander
  • 5 gms Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Star anise
  • 8 – 9 Green Chillies chopped
  • 50 gms Onions
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry 

How to make Moong Dal Vada:

  1. First of all soak the moong dal in water for a couple of hours.
  2. Then grind it properly to form a smooth paste.
  3. Now blend it with chopped onions, chillies, and corainder and cumin seed.
  4. Now check the salt seasoning and deep fry till golden in color.
  5. Finally serve with green chutney.
