Aloo Gobi Recipe

Aloo gobi is one of the favourite dishes of mostly all Indians, especially the north Indians. We provide you with steps to prepare this dish easily. Follow this easy Aloo Gobhi recipe carefully and grab your dish.

Ingredients for making Aaloo Gobhi:

  •     1 onion, finely chopped
  •  1 large cauliflower
  •     2 potatoes, boiled & peeled
  •     3 tbsp oil or ghee
  •     1 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
  •     1 green chillies
  •     2 tbsp curds
  •     ½ tsp dhania powder
  •     1 tsp lemon juice
  •     ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  •     ½ tsp cumin seeds 

For Paste :

  •     2 tbsp coconut, grated
  •  1 onion
  •    ¼ cup coriander, chopped
  • ½ tsp ginger grated
  •     1 tsp garlic grated
  •     3 green chillies
  •     ½ tsp wheat flour 

How to prepare Aloo Gobi (Cauliflower):

1.    Take the cauliflower and break it into florettes. Boil water and put cauliflower in it. Simmer the flame ann cook for 3-4 minutes. Drain and keep it aside.

2.    Take potatoes and chop them into medium chunks.

3.    Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add cumin seeds to it and cook till they splutter. Now add onion and green chilli to it and sauté till pink.

4.    Add the paste prepared along with dhaniya powder and turmeric. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add curd while stirring continuously, till it starts boiling.

5.    Now add potatoes and cauliflower and cook till the gravy becomes thick. Stir few times in order to avoid burning.

6.    Cook till gravy becomes thick and oil separates. Add lemon juice to it.

7.    Garnish with coriander leaves. Aloo Gobi is ready to be served.
